JPMorgan Asset Management has appointed Michael Bell as a global market strategist within its market insights EMEA team.
He replaces Kerry Craig, who has moved to Australia to lead development of the fund house’s market insight programme for advisers in the region.
Mr Bell joins from the private bank C. Hoare and Co. where he worked for seven years as an investment strategist.
At the private bank he was responsible for European, Japanese and credit strategy, as well as playing a key role in determining FX strategy and overall asset allocation.
He will report to Stephanie Flanders, chief market strategist for Europe and UK, in his new role.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms Flanders said: “We are thrilled to welcome Michael; his investment expertise and capital markets background will enhance our team’s research-driven approach.”
